SHERWOOD SHORES, TX -- A Sherwood Shores family escapes their burning home Thursday night without injury.

The fire started around 7:15 pm. Sherwood Shores fire officials say the mobile home at the corner of Nottingham and Richard was heavily damaged by the flames.

But firefighters from Sherwood Shores, Gordonville and Whitesboro were able to contain that fire to one end of the home, even salvaging the family's Christmas presents and some family photos.

The Red Cross also responded, finding the two adults and two young children a place to stay for the night.
