GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. ― Collinsville and Southmayd also suffered heavy damage last night in western Grayson County. Residents say the tornado hit around 10:30 Monday night with little warning.

Metal from outbuildings was sent flying by those high winds, wrapping around telephone poles and trees.

In Collinsville, more than 17 homes were damaged, several with roofs ripped off, some completely leveled.

"We have three homes with visible holes in the roofs, and one of those is probably not going to be able to be repaired. We are still trying to do an assessment on it," Southmayd mayor Daniel Pepe says.

One home off Southmayd Road was moved four feet off its foundation and ripped apart. A man inside that house had to have stitches, but no other storm-related injuries have been reported.
