08-21-06 – Monday morning, Bryan County Commissioners passed a resolution to place a five percent motel tax on the November ballot.
The tax revenue would be split three ways: with part of the funds going to tourism, Bryan County Fire Departments, and the general government fund.
Commissioners didn't specifically ear-mark any revenue for the jail, but money from the general fund could be used for that purpose.
