Missing Teen Found Safe

8-26-06 - The search for a missing autistic teenager from Denison was called off after the teen was found safe Saturday afternoon. He was reported missing for 14 hours. An officer found him under a highway 75 bridge just after 4:30 p.m.

Denison Police were asking for the public's help in locating the teenager who went missing early Saturday morning. The family of 17-year-old Larry Paul Harbin believes he walked out the back door of their home on Imperial Drive around 2:30.

Harbin suffers from autism and is unable to communicate verbally. Police were concerned that the heat may be a danger to Harbin.

Harbin was taken to a local hospital. He was stung by ants, but otherwise authorities say he's fine.
