Gainesville man's death in fire deemed "suspicious"
GAINESVILLE, TX ― The Texas State Medical Examiner's Office is now calling the death of a Gainesville man in a house fire over the weekend “suspicious.”

GAINESVILLE, Tex. ― The Texas State Medical Examiner's Office is now calling the death of a Gainesville man in a house fire over the weekend “suspicious.”

Barry Pruitt, 33, died in a fire at a home on East Spring Creek Road in Gainesville over the weekend. Now Cooke County Sheriff Mike Compton says that the Texas State Medical Examiner's Office has deemed Pruitt’s death "suspicious".

Compton said the sheriff's office has allocated all its resources to their investigation.
