BOSWELL, Okla. ― Boswell, Oklahoma’s boil order has been lifted, as of Thursday, after the city went without usable water for about a week.

Residents were forced to go without showers, drinking water, and flushing toilets for nearly five days.

Boswell water superintendent Isreal Beddo says an electrical problem caused the outage. He says the main well pump and the air compressor went out, but now the system is up and running with water that's safe to drink.

Students of Boswell schools are now back in class.
