09-01-06 - A startling chain of events for an Ardmore Police Officer Thursday night after a man pointed a sawed off shotgun at him and threatened to shoot.
Twenty-year-old Charles Seymore Farve is in the Carter County Jail facing charges for feloniously pointing a weapon.
Police were called to a home in the 300 block of 13th Avenue Southeast about 9:00 PM, where they found an intoxicated man and woman arguing in the backyard.
Police say Farve then loaded a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun and pointed at the officer. The officer took cover and the woman wrestled the gun out of Farve's hands.
While police were transporting him to jail, he started kicking the doors of the patrol car. Police say they had to use pepper spray to get him to settle down.
