Sherman women injured in I-45 accident near Huntsville
MADISONVILLE, TX ― A Sherman woman is in critical condition at a Bryan, Texas hospital, after a pickup hit her vehicle head-on Sunday afternoon on Interstate 45 near Huntsville.

MADISONVILLE, TX ― A Sherman woman is in critical condition at a Bryan, Texas hospital, after a pickup hit her vehicle head-on Sunday afternoon on Interstate 45 near Huntsville.

KXII-TV’s sister station KBTX-TV reports 22-year-old Crystal Pointer and 23-year-old Amber Pointer, both of Sherman, were traveling northbound on Interstate 35 when they were hit head-on by a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction.

Crystal Pointer is in critical condition in a Bryan hospital. Amber Pointer was treated and released Sunday.

The driver of other vehicle, 74-year-old Joe Ed Young, of Madisonville, Texas, died at the scene.
