Theives Hit Local Hotel in Sherman

09-15-06 - Thieves went on a burglary spree over the Labor Day weekend in the parking lot of a Sherman hotel. One of the items stolen was a large, radio controlled airplane, which is worth about $5,000. Electronics and cash were also missing.

Police say burglars broke into five different vehicles parked at the Hampton Inn at Highway 82 and 75. This week a tip led police to a Grayson County home, where they found the plane. Police are planning on making an arrest, but are not sure if the same person is responsible for all of the burglaries.
