DURANT, OK -- Some local stars kicked up their heels for a good cause Friday night in Durant.
Tonight was the third annual Durant Dancing with the Stars, benefiting Durant Main Street.
Couples have been perfecting their dance skills for weeks, hoping to 'wow' the crowd and win votes. KXII's very own Kristen Shanahan and her partner, Calera police chief, Don Hyde, showed off their dance moves to a mix of hip hop and ballroom. News 12's Kylie Dixon served as one of the judges.
"This is one of the biggest fundraisers that Durant Main Street puts on. So, it is very vital to our organization. We depend a lot on the proceeds of this event," program manager Cecily Williams said.
The winners of crowd favorite and first place were Ken and Lauren English. Congratulations to all the dancers!
