BURNEYVILLE, OK ― The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is calling it a double homicide, a husband and wife found dead in their Burneyville home Thursday afternoon.

Love County Sheriff Joe Russell says the 911 call came in just after noon, that one person was possibly lying dead on the kitchen floor at the house on 2 Burneyville Road.

But when the Sheriff and emergency responders arrived, they found another body.

53-year-old Carol Ann Lee and her husband 71-year-old James Kirby Lee were found dead inside. Details on how the couple was found, or how they were killed are not being released yet, but Sheriff Russell tells us the case has been handed over to OSBI to investigate.

"OSBI is gathering evidence to see what actually happened," said Russell. "They're working it as a double homicide right now. Possibly a homicide/suicide, but right now we're not for sure."

OSBI tells us they haven't found any signs of forced entry into the home, but they expect to be on the scene investigating until at least 12:00 a.m. Friday.
