DENISON, Tex. -- What began as a domestic dispute Monday afternoon in Howe turned into a chase up U.S. Highway 75.
Texas DPS troopers tell us Steve Davis was just released from the Grayson County Jail Monday afternoon. He had been booked Sunday night on a domestic abuse charge. Troopers say within 15 minutes of his release, he was back in Howe, beating the same victim.
Howe Police were called to the scene, and Davis took off on Highway 75. Troopers say Davis was finally stopped by spike strips at the Texas Travel Stop near the Red River.
Davis reportedly refused to get out of the car, and was tased by troopers. He was taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
