A high school coach in Atoka has been disciplined for an incident involving a student.
The Atoka school superintendent released a statement on Tuesday regarding the incident. He says a member of the football coaching staff is no longer coaching, but is still teaching pending an investigation by the district attorney.
The student's family told First News that the coach put the student in a 'choke-hold' until he passed out. The school would not confirm nor deny that allegation.
The incident happened back on September 14.
