ARDMORE, OK― Two Headlton men are in custody after law enforcement caught them at multiple pharmacies attempting to purchase pseudophedrine, the active ingredient used in making meth. Todd Barnes, 35, and Rodney Earl Doss, 37, were arrested Monday pending charges of attempting to possess methamphetamine.

The arrests were made Monday after the men purchased pseudoephedrine products at a local pharmacy. Pharmacy personnel then alerted authorities, as the subject who made the purchase was flagged as a frequent buyer of such products. The two purchased additional pseudoephedrine products a short time later at another local pharmacy.

Police apprehended the men in their vehicle a short time later, where cookware which tested positive for pseudoephedrine residue was also found.

Barnes and Doss were transported and booked into the Carter County Jail.
