Another Dream Come True w/Wishing Well

The following is a news release from the Wishing Well:

Birthday Wish Provided By The Wishing Well

Jordan Harris of Grayson County celebrated his 11th birthday with his mom, sister, Courtney, his favorite teacher and friends. Two of Jordan’s new friends, Ryan Klement and Cheryl Herriage from The Wishing Well were there to help Jordan celebrate and to watch Jordan’s birthday wish come true.

Jordan’s favorite pastime is playing video games; he especially likes The Legend of Zelda series by Nintendo. His wish was for a new video game system, new TV and a bedroom makeover. The Wishing Well made sure Jordan got everything he wished for. Jordan received new bedroom furniture, a new video game system, a new TV, a boom chair and a gift card to purchase any video game he wanted.

“We couldn’t have done it without the help of Best Buy and Knights Furniture, “said Ryan Klement. “Best Buy employees, Angelica Kluss and store manager, Kevin McMullen coordinated the wish. Eddie, Josh and Chris went out of their way getting all the equipment delivered and installed. They did an incredible job,” stated Ryan. “The employees at Knights Furniture delivered and assembled all of Jordan’s new furniture. Sales associate, Beth Cenero, coordinated the wish at Knights with the help of Knights Furniture President, David Gunn. They were great,” explained Ryan.

The Wishing Well would like to extend a special thank you to Best Buy and Knights Furniture for all they did to make sure that Jordan’s wish was fantastic! Such generosity allows The Wishing Well to continue to provide wishes for critically ill children in the area. These wishes help to give the children and their families a wonderful respite from the world of hospital visits and discomfort; for a brief time they can leave that life behind and enjoy a life where dreams really do come true.

The Wishing Well program considers children ages 3 through 18 living in the Texoma area of Southern Oklahoma and North Texas who suffer from life-threatening or catastrophic illnesses. The non-profit organization depends solely on contributions from individuals and organizations in the Texoma area and operates under the auspices of the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center Foundation. A committee of area volunteers oversees each wish from beginning to end, creating special memories for each child and their family.

If you know of a child living in the Texoma area between the ages of 3 and 18 who faces a life threatening or catastrophic illness or would like additional information on The Wishing Well, please call 903-868-WISH (9474).
