A Moderate to Enhanced risk for severe storms has been issued for Texoma. Storms look to become strong to severe and will be firing up around 11am. Primary threats include heavy rainfall leading to flooding, large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado is possible as well but chances aren't very high. 10-3-06 - Grayson County lawmen used a taser to control a man who punched a police officer and a deputy early Monday morning. It happened at the Whitesboro truck stop along Highway 82.
Deputies say 62-year-old Johnny Lee Freeman of McKinney was harassing waitresses and customers. At one point, he was pointing a rifle at people.
Whitesboro Police arrested him, but when it came time to transfer him to Grayson County deputies, officers say Freeman punched one lawman in the eye and hit a deputy in the arm and chest.
Deputies had to use a taser to calm him down. He's charged with deadly conduct, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and two counts of assault on a public servant.
