A combination of very strong winds, falling temperatures and frozen precipitation will make Wednesday and Wednesday night dangerous for motorists. Freezing rain and sleet will change to snow before ending late Wednesday or early Thursday. Wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees...with air temperatures in the low 20s...can be expected. Roads will be icy Thursday morning but should melt during the day as skies clear and temperatures rise above freezing.
10-5-06 - Restructuring at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center has claimed 11 jobs. WNJ is one of Grayson County's largest employer with a workforce of more than 1,200 people.
A spokesperson for WNJ told First News on Thursday that the layoffs are due to restructuring within the hospital. None of the affected employees were directly involved with patient care.
