MARSHALL COUNTY, OK—A good old fashioned shootout is in the works in Marshall County. Members of the Museum of Southern Oklahoma are preparing to reenact the 1932 Corner Drug Store Shootout in Madill.

It is part of the Oklahombres 20th Anniversary Rendezvous that kicks off Saturday. The day-long event will have music along with games. Then the main event will highlight the gun fight between former federal agent Wiley Lynn and OSBI agent Crockett Long.

“A little bit of history, learning what actually happened in the shootout itself. There's a lot of controversy as to who was the good guy, who was the bad guy…that I don't know. What I do know is that it's going to be a lot of fun to be here,” Bruce Bailey, Guns of Sipokni re-enactor, said.

It all begins Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Madill City Park. Organizers say they also have newly published books on sale featuring stories from the family of one of the lawmen.
