Luxury Cars Lead Authorities on High Speed Chase

Authorities say after Harold Roberts showed them his 1999 Bentley they decided to run his plates. They found the car had been stolen just 12 days ago from Edmond, Oklahoma. It all happened at a convenience store in Madill but as authorities moved in, Roberts and two other men in a Cadillac with him all took off. The Cadillac was stopped on Hwy. 177 by Dickson police.

Roberts on the other hand went speeding down Hwy. 70 to Tyler Road, topping 130 miles an hour. That's where authorities say he jumped out and headed into nearby woods on foot.

It took five hours, but they finally caught him on Bethel Road, just a few miles west of Madill. All three men are in the Marshall County jail Wednesday night. The stolen Bentley cost around $125,000.
