Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
10-16-06 - Folks in Ardmore awoke to little or no water pressure Monday morning, after a 12 inch water main busted on Rockford Road between 4th and 12th Streets.
Crews were called out about 5:00 AM, but couldn't determine where the break happened until about 8:00 AM. However, once they arrived on scene, they had it fixed in a matter of minutes.
The water main is fixed, but crews will be keeping their eyes out all over town because the heavy rains make the soil expand and put pressure on aging pipes.
