Charity Needs Donations

11/29/03-- The Lamar County Salvation Army is in desperate need of donations.
The organization has fallen on hard times and says that without some charitable donations, more than 300 families in the Lamar County area could be without a Christmas meal.
Volunteers spend up to eight hours per day ringing bells outside of grocery stores and say they need the change now more than ever.
Bell ringers will be accepting donations until two days before Christmas.
