Hit & Run Victim Dies From Injuries

10-26-06 - A man involved in hit a run accident in Cooke County Tuesday night has passed away. Now, officials are looking for the one responsible.

Joe Parkhill was crossing at the 75-hundred block of Highway 82 in Oak Ridge at around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. He crossed the highway to get some gas after his vehicle ran out. On his way back, is when witnesses say a vehicle traveling at high speeds ran into the man and kept on going.

The victim was taken by care flight to Dallas Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries last night. Police now need your help.

Oak Ridge Police are looking for a white two-door car, possibly a Camaro, with a loud exhaust. The car is also believed to have damage on the front or passenger side of the vehicle.
