A fundraiser at the Grayson County Airport hoped to raise money to upgrade some of their departments. The International Tactical Training Command hosted the first annual October Flight Fest to revamp the airport. With a tight county budget, donations were accepted all afternoon to aide with the improvements.
Plane rides were given to the first 100 children ages 7-17 and a dance and dinner were held after the event for 60 dollars a person.
Officials say it is the first step in making the airport something special again.
