11.23.06 McALESTER, Okla. (AP) - The more than two-thousand inmates housed at the two state Department of Corrections facilities in
McAlester will get to dine on turkey and all the trimmings.
Plans for the meal Thursday evening at maximum security Oklahoma
State Penitentiary and its one-thousand-399 inmates include
1500 pounds of turkey.
There also will be 160 gallons of cornbread dressing, 30 gallons
of cranberry sauce, 60 gallons of giblet gravy, 400 pounds of
mashed potatoes, 90 gallons of green beans and three-thousand
Across the street, 731 inmates at the minimum security Jackie
Brannon Correctional Center will be feasting on 453 pounds of roast
turkey, 60 gallons of cornbread dressing and 60 gallons of mashed
