Marshall Man Pleads Guilty to Murder

12-15-06 A Marshall county man pled guilty to charges of second degree murder. Jarrel Broadhead was accused of murder in 2005 after driving drunk and killing four year old Clayton Lowry of Gordonville. Four other were injured in the wreck including Broadhead’s own daughter. Troopers say Broadhead was driving drunk when he pulled in front of another car on highway 32 west of Kingston in June of 2005. Since pleading guilty he will face a twenty year sentence; five of those years will be spent in DOC custody. According to court records Broadhead has a criminal history tied to alcohol. His confession is part of a plea deal reached by his attorneys and the district attorney. Broadhead is scheduled to be in court for formal sentencing in January.
