12-20-06 After a five month investigation, Van Alstyne High School has been cleared of any testing irregularities. In May of this year a test security firm noticed Van Alstyne High School was one of 700 Texas schools that had abnormally high TAKS test scores for 2005. They told the school to investigate. School officials say they verified the regulations were followed by testing officials. TEA cleared the school of any wrongdoing. School officials don't know exactly why they were included on the original list and say they were never told by the security firm. Of the 700 schools, 590 schools were cleared by TEA
