Stabbing Possibly Self Defense

12-26-06 Police say that a stabbing in Durant could have been a case of self defense. The incident happened at the Love's Convenience Store on 1st Avenue a little after 6:00 p.m. Monday night. After further investigation police say that 23-year-old Kevin Strange walked out of the store and was approached by 3 Hispanic teenagers. Witnesses say the teens jumped Strange and after a scuffle, Strange stabbed two of the teens and fled the scene. The two tell police that Strange was picking a fight with their younger brother and they defended him. The DA will now determine whether the stabbing was a case of self-defense.
