Sherman man, 60, convicted of sexual assault
SHERMAN, TX -- After his 34-year-old Sherman son was arrested for indecency with a child, that man’s father is charged with a similar crime. James Roger Edenton, 60, from Sherman, pleaded guilty on last month to Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.

SHERMAN, TX -- After his 34-year-old Sherman son was arrested for indecency with a child (See Related Story Below), that man’s father is charged with a similar crime.

James Roger Edenton, 60, from Sherman, pleaded guilty on last month to Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. He was first arrested on April 14th of this year for sexual assault of a child, according to the Sherman Police Department.

Edenton was sentenced to the Texas Department of Corrections to 25 years on June 18th. The Grayson County Sheriff's Office says he remains in the Grayson County Jail.
