Sherman Sees String of Burglaries

12-26-06 A string of burglaries in Sherman have police looking for at least one suspect. The latest incident happened Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of Shannon Drive in Sherman. Police say 3 men kicked open the door, pointed a gun, and claimed to be looking for his ex-girlfriend.

Another incident involved a Sherman resident reporting guns and ammunition stolen from a gun safe inside his apartment. The third incident involved vandalism at a video store on Walnut Street where police found a broken window. A suspect was later pulled over for a speeding charge and fled on foot. He was later arrested for evading police. Officers are still looking into his involvement with the break-in. Investigators say at least 2 of the incidents involved specific targets and were not random act.
