Position of Paris Interim City Manager Offered to Clark

01-08-07 The search for an interim city manager in the city of Paris could soon be over.

Mayor Richard Manning says on Monday night the council offered the position to Ernie Clark. Now Manning says Clark has to decide whether or not to take the job.

Manning says there had been talk of putting former city manager Tony Williams' name on the agenda for rehire, but that did not happen.

Manning says next, the council will hire a firm to search for the next permanent city manager, which could take weeks, even months.
