11-21-03 - Over a dozen suspected drug dealers are behind bars tonight in Carter County, after a major anti-drug operation early Friday morning.

For several local drug operators it was a rude awakening. Agents began pounding on doors at 6am.

Called Operation React, authorities served 18 arrest warrants in the wee hours of the morning and seized drugs and made a dozen arrests - all before sunrise.

The operation was the result of almost two months of undercover work and surveillance, much of which was prompted by information from the Ardmore community.

Operation React was spearheaded by the district attorney's task force along with members of the Ardmore police department, the Carter County Sheriff's department, and the OSBI.
