Marshall Co. Commissioner District 3 results
Hundreds of voters went to the polls Tuesday to decide who would be the Republican and Democratic candidates on the ballot for Marshall County Commissioner's district 3 seat.

Hundreds of voters went to the polls Tuesday to decide who would be the Republican and Democratic candidates on the ballot for Marshall County Commissioner's district 3 seat.
Here are the results according to the Marshall County Election Board:

Democratic primary:
-Chris Duroy received 314 votes and his competitor Carl Thurlo received 57 votes.
Republican primary:
-Rick Bland received 95 votes and his competitor Boyd Steele received 75 votes.

Duroy and Bland will face off in the special election, which will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Voters will also decide whether or not to approve funds for a new E-911 system for Marshall County.
