A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Grayson County College on Friday to mark the opening of a newly renovated and remodeled science building. The facility will feature new lab space, special storage for chemicals and equipment, and a brand new study center for students.
Dr. Alan Scheibmeir, president of Grayson County College, says the college is embracing the future.
"We're now in the 21st century, and we need our facilities to be appropriate."
Professors were on hand Friday to host tours of the facility and give lab demonstrations.
