A Madill resident, charged with second degree murder in connection with a motorcycle accident last May, went to trial Monday. Tony Alan Bigger, 19, was found guilty on one count of negligent homicide and on one count of domestic abuse later that afternoon.
Jury selection began Monday morning for 19-year-old Tony Alan Bigger. That jury found Bigger guilty later that afternoon, opting for a lesser sentence. Authorities say he got in an argument with a passenger while driving down Highway 177 north of Dickson. He swerved into an incoming lane and slammed into a motorcycle head on.
Ronnie Vandenburg was riding the motorcycle. He died at the scene.
Bigger will serve two years in prison and pay $6,000 in fines.
