12-17-03 - K-mart closed its doors in Sherman at the end of July but now three other retail stores want to move in. The 177,000 square foot building sits on 22 acres and the selling price is $4 to $5 million. In November, three unnamed retail stores all made offers in to buy the building and property. Rad Richardson of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce says we could find out any day who K-mart will choose. It’s more good news on the retail front for a community that serves some 300,000 shoppers a year.
