A combination of very strong winds, falling temperatures and frozen precipitation will make Wednesday and Wednesday night dangerous for motorists. Freezing rain and sleet will change to snow before ending late Wednesday or early Thursday. Wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees...with air temperatures in the low 20s...can be expected. Roads will be icy Thursday morning but should melt during the day as skies clear and temperatures rise above freezing.
Authorities captured Preston Boan, a 21-year-old Celina man who severely beat his own grandparents with a wooden dowel last week, in Caddo County of western Oklahoma just after five o'clock Thursday morning. Witnesses said he had been staying in a roadside park for the past two days.
He is being held at the Caddo County Jail awaiting extradition back to Celina, Texas.
Police say that's where Boan lived with his grandparents, Fred and Willie Green, until he snapped last Friday.
Police also recovered the truck he was driving. There is still no word on a motive for this violent crime.
