2-1-07 Officials in Murray County kicked off a mission to attract new businesses to the area and keep them there. Sulphur and Davis chambers are combining forces to increase local jobs while preserving the existing tax base. Over the next few months officials will visit local businesses to gauge their needs.
Chamber president Kenny Howard says, “we just felt like there was a need there to make sure the businesses we have here in the community that we take care of them, communities are going to try to bring new business but that's hard to do if you don't take care of the ones you have."
