12-23-03 - A record result in the Toys for Tots drive will help bring toys to over 10,000 Texoma children this year.
Thanks to a final day push at Midway Mall, the goal of 22,000 toys was exceeded. Today the Marines Corps League volunteers were busy picking up and counting toys from across the viewing area. By nightfall, their count had topped 22,620 toys with more left to factor in.
Those toys are divided up at a local warehouse, and in most cases, immediately turned around to local families for Christmas.
