City leaders in Hugo say a metering malfunction at a water plant has forced crews to shut down the local water supply.
Officials fear cross-contamination has resulted. The Department of Environmental Quality is currently running tests to determine the problem.
The Choctaw Nation along with local fire departments is assisting in getting water to residents of Hugo.
One city council member said citizens can bring their own containers to the Hugo Fire Department to fill with drinking water.
