Boy Scouts Gather Food

Grayson County boy scouts say they collected a record amount of food in the scouting for food fundraiser.

Officials with the Texoma Valley Boy Scouts say they were able to surpass their goal of 11,000 canned goods. They estimate more than 16,000 food items were collected.

Today boy scouts delivered food to the Grayson County homeless shelter in Denison, and officials at the shelter couldn't believe the amount of food the scouts brought.

The boy scouts hope this year's success continues for years to come.
The food will be distributed to Grayson and Bryan counties.
