Fog Causes Chain Reaction Wreck

1-14-04 - Fog is to blame for an accident this morning that shut down highway 69 in Atoka County. It happened at the intersection of Fishcamp Road and 69 in Stringtown, which has seen its share in recent years.

Police say around 8:15 a.m. a southbound semi-truck collided with another tractor-trailer that was trying to make a left turn at a popular restaurant and casino.

The wreck caused a chain reaction with another car and pickup, but amazingly, no one was seriously injured. The second semi-truck driver was ticketed for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
