1-15-04 - Dozens of angry employees showed up at the cookie factory in Marietta picketing for their pay checks. The workers stood in front of the locked up plant holding signs and cheering while passing cars honked.

The employees are picketing for last weeks pay checks. They normally get paid at 1 p.m. on Thursday, but this Thursday the plant was empty and their pay checks nonexistent.

Today employees held signs that said "We made your dough now were is our dough?" and "We made cookies your cookies and you can't give us the crumbs."

On Monday workers showed up to find the gates locked and a sign posted that read operations had been suspended. The Bake-Line Group had filed bankruptcy and the Illinois based company was forced to shut down their headquarters and seven other plants without warning.
