Elderly Man Murdered-- Man in Custody

1-18-04-- A man wanted for questioning in the murder of an elderly Paris man is in custody in central Texas.
22 year old Dexter Earl McCurry was arrested Sunday in Austin, Texas on a forgery warrant out of Lamar County.
Friday, the Paris Police Department announced that McCurry was a "person of interest" in the case and was wanted for questionig in the beating death of 79 year old Marvin Davis.
Davis was found beaten and strangled in his recreational vehicle at Gene's Flea Market on January 8th.
Lamar County Sheriff B.J. McCoy says his department acted on tips that McCurry was in Austin and worked with Travis County authorities to bring him into custody.
McCurry is scheduled to be transported to Paris sometime Monday afternoon.
