A string of car burglaries in Sherman is prompting police to warn residents to keep an eye out and, of course, lock your doors. Police say three cars were burglarized last night alone. Two took place at the Hunnington Apartments, and the other occurred off the 400 block of Archer Street.
Hundreds of dollars worth of items were taken from the vehicles. Sergeant Bruce Dawsey says unlocked doors are the obvious targets.
"Storing valuables out of sight is the primary thing, lock your doors; it sounds basic but a lot of people don't do it."
Police say no word on any leads to these burglaries.
