1-28-04 - A mobile home fire lit up the Knollwood neighborhood near Sherman Tuesday night. The smoke could be seen for miles as the vacant structure was consumed. Firefighters say combustible materials inside the home exploded, which made fighting the fire difficult. Also, the mobile home community doesn’t have fire hydrants. But firefighters did keep the fire from spreading to other homes. The home was completely destroyed. Today they say the cause of the fire does not seem to be suspicious.
