Teen Injured in 4-Wheeler Accident

4 Wheeler Accident

02-22-04-- A Grayson County teen is fighting for her life after a serious accident on a 4-wheeler this morning. The teen was driving the vehicle, when a car in front of her stopped suddenly and she went airborne.

It happened about 11:30 a.m. Sunday off of Highway 377 near the Cedar Mills Marina. Troopers say the driver of the 4-wheeler ran into the back of a Ford Escort, then flipped over the car on impact.

She suffered serious head and neck injuries and was careflighted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Another passenger, also a teen girl, escaped with minor injuries.

She suffered a bloody nose and some bumps and bruises. Investigators have not released the names of the victims.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
