Horses Health Questioned - Atoka County
03-07-04-- For the second time this week, the health of a group of horses in Texoma is in question. Folks in Atoka are concerned about five horses in a grassless pasture on Mitchell Road in Atoka County.
They say the horses are just skin and bones and worry the owners are not providing them enough food. But the horse owners say the horses are just fine. Other area ranchers have been donating hay throughout the winter, worried the horses are going hungry.
Animal Control officials in Durant have been notified, but so far, no charges have been filed.
