DURANT, OK -- Students looking to transfer to Southeastern Oklahoma State University next semester got a head start today. Live Transfer Day allows students who are planning to transfer from a local two year university to apply for financial aid, get enrolled, and even tour the campus.

Many of the transfer students come from community colleges that have transfer agreements with SOSU. This is the first year the university has held the event in the fall.

"We are partners with Grayson County College, Paris Junior College, so we have a lot of students who will finish their Associate’s and come up here and get their Bachelor's," SOSU recruitment coordinator Elizabeth Stidham says.

Live Transfer Day is part of a number of activities for the SOSU homecoming, which is this weekend.
