Legislative luncheon in Ardmore

OKLAHOMA CITY- Oklahoma lawmakers are wrapping up a hectic week at the State Capitol. One bill had representatives debating late into the night.

The bill debated concerns immigration.

Representative Greg Piatt says it will set the standard for other immigration reform bills in the U.S.

He says the state spends more than $240 million a year on illegal aliens through programs such as welfare and college scholarships. This bill would put an end to that.

It now goes to the Senate for consideration.

Representative Terry Hyman and Senator Johnnie Crutchfield spoke to constituents about happenings in Oklahoma City at a legislative luncheon in Ardmore.
