Melissa Teen Killed in McKinney

03-13-04-- A Collin County teen was one of four people killed execution-style at a home in McKinney Friday night. Seventeen-year-old Matthew Self, of Melissa, died at a Dallas hospital Saturday afternoon.

It was a grim discovery for police in the Dallas suburb. They were responding to a shooting call around 9:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found three people dead and a fourth injured. All had been shot in the head.

A 46-year-old woman, her 25-year-old nephew and an 18-year-old friend of the nephew were all killed. Self was taken to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas where he died Saturday afternoon.

No arrests have been made, but police are looking for a 1999 tan Chevrolet crew cab pickup, believed to have been taken at the time of the shooting. The truck has extensive chrome detailing, including running boards and a toolbox. The license plate is 3CP J17.
